Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have been romantic for a while now and even before their public announcement that they were in a relationship in July 2019, they were very very close and spent a lot of time together. Their romance only made sense what with their powerful chemistry in Señorita and even their constant PDA (that often made people uncomfortable). What we know is that they were quarantining together, too, and spent more time together over the pandemic.

However, sources from In Touch say that they’re “taking some time apart” for now, prompting the “Stitches” singer to fly back to California. “[T]hey decided they needed to take a break from each other,” the source says.
Because they’re both working on new albums, they decided to take time apart for now but they still seem to be in each other’s good graces, following each other on Instagram still.
