Rumors are currently circulating online about Julia Montes and Nadine Lustre backing out of their project “Burado” with Zanjoe Marudo, Paulo Avelino, and Thai celebrity Denkhun Ngamnet.
“Burado” was set to be one of Julia’s comeback teleseryes after having gone on hiatus from the showbiz limelight, and her first project with Nadine. It was going to be shot in several countries apart from the Philippines, namely Cambodia, India, and Thailand.
However, a local entertainment column alleges that Julia has withdrawn from the series, reportedly because she didn’t want to be “locked-in” during tapings, which is among the regulations under the new normal. It was also claimed that it’s because she didn’t want to spend that long a time away from a certain someone.
Sources also allege that Nadine followed suit and backed out from the project as well.
This rumor has been met with disappointment from fans who were so excited to see both Julia and Nadine together in what seems to be an action-packed woman-led series. Meanwhile, others are waiting for the cast and staff themselves to confirm or deny the rumors before reacting to it.
If they are true, who do you think will replace them? Let us know in the comments.
