Less than a week after actor Dick Israel passed away, his wife Marlyn Michaca passed away, too.
Michaca has been in a coma for the past two weeks due to aneurysm.
The news was announced by actress Vivian Velez, who also revealed Israel’s passing. According to a Facebook post:
Marlyn Michaca (Dick Israel’s wife) just passed away. Now, in each other’s arms for eternity.
The cremation of Dick “Tats” Israel is moved to Oct 18 (tues). The family has decided to extend the wake together with his wife Marlyn Michaca for 2 more days and will be cremated together.
Israel is a noted actor who is known for his villainous roles. In a career spanning 40 years, he has acted in over 200 movies, bringing to life kontrabida roles even if he had only a few lines. He was so effective that he won Best Supporting Actor at the 1988 Metro Manila Film Festival for Patrolman, and at the 1995 FAMAS for Kanto Boy 2: Anak ni Totoy Guapo.
In 2010, he suffered a stroke, leaving the left half of his body paralyzed. He received widespread attention after his house burned down a few months ago, destroying almost all of his belongings.
