Debunking BinKyo Sends Us Evidence on the Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo Rumors

Last May, I wrote an article asking whether Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo were dating again. At the time when I wrote it, I was merely basing my article on rumors that I had seen online. Little did I know that there was actually a whole swarm of fans who felt very strongly about these rumors.

One account called Debunking Binkyo (@DBinkyo) on Twitter (also @DebunkingBinkyo on Instagram) has recently sent us evidence “to mitigate legal risks due to people (specifically BinKyo fans) who circumvent real pictures to create a fraudulent story”. According to the account, “Over the last three months, these fans have crossed the line from being imaginative to being total frauds. The agencies have responded last July 31 calling this act as “absurd” and “unfounded”.” They then shared their research with us since some fans are apparently still claiming that while the relationship may not be true, there is evidence that something really happened between Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo.

Complete with pictures, Debunking Binkyo debunks each claim made by fans and articles to show the many inaccuracies that have appeared online. Check it out:

“The Same Shooting Location Fraud”

Fans and articles have connected the location of Hyun Bin in a commercial shoot and an Instagram photo posted by Song Hye-kyo, claiming that they took place in the same week. According to Debunking Binkyo: “If you rely on the trees and leaves alone, you may be easily convinced that the two were together on those days. However, my research will show you that the photos were taken at two different places: one in South Korea and one in Central Park in New York. A photo of the exact spot in Literary Walk Central Park has been compared with the photo posted by Song Hye-kyo. All of the 19 branches were compared during different seasons to prove that they are all the same.”

“The Same Close Friend Fraud”

When Hyun Bin left for Jordan in the second week of July, BinKyo fraudsters said that a close friend of Hye-kyo went to the airport with Hyun Bin. This unidentified man was wearing a cap and eyeglasses similar to Hyun Bin’s. Debunking Binkyo’s thorough explanation shows us that the man in the photos are actually two different people. The man with Hye-kyo is wearing rectangular eyeglasses, while the man with Hyun Bin is wearing squoval eyeglasses as seen in these pictures:

“The Hands of Hyun Bin on Song Hye-kyo’s Dog Fraud”

Before Hyun Bin left for Jordan, Binkyo fans claimed that it was Hyun Bin’s hand petting one of Hye-kyo’s favorite dogs on Instagram. Debunking Binkyo, however, adjusted the brightness and contrast of each photo to see the similarities of the hands. “What did it show me?” DB asks. “Two different hands and two different set of veins. The main veins of the hands will show you that those hands belong to two different people. The pictures I’ve attached will tell you which veins are not the same.”

“The Same Bodyguard Fraud”

When a close friend of both parties was at the airport just before Hyun Bin left for Jordan, some fans started comparing their bodyguards, who both seemed to have a mole below their ears. The research that Debunking Binkyo made, however, will show you that it this isn’t true. “I observed other exposed parts of the two men and their earlobes will tell you that they are not the same person. The outer ear formations are totally different as explained in the photos I have sent.”

“The Walk in the Park Fraud”

According to Debunking Binkyo, these rumors were recently picked up by different news agencies claiming a strong basis that Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo are really dating in real life. This story was created by fans when Hyun Bin’s stylist uploaded it on her Instagram account and then deleted it. The fans said the post was cryptic and that the height difference of the two were similar to their silhouettes in another photo. The research that Debunking Binkyo did, however, will show you that this isn’t true.

According to Debunking Binkyo: “In 2017, the average height of Korean men was 170 centimeters and the average height of Korean women was 157 centimeters. It is easy to assume that the subject involved in the original photo may be the two because of the height difference. However, my research will show you that they aren’t the only ones with that particular height. The point of the height comparison is to provide a clear understanding that this could be any other person since the height provided by their statistics will tell you that this is average Korean height.”

As a final word, Debunking Binkyo has this to say: “I hope that this sheds some light onto the situation and I hope it educates people to think before they believe and be critical when believing news these days.”
