The alleged ‘laglag bala’ scheme has victimized one too many travellers and netizens have been speaking out against it. It seems that there are still some who are not convinced. One netizen, Jong De Guzman, replies to claims that the scheme is not real. Jong’s sister was one of the victims of the NAIA scheme. He had this to say:
“You do not know what she went through during and after that incident — to be threatened with imprisonment or to lose everything she worked for just to get the green card. How dare you!
You do not know my sister or any of the victims. I do.”
