Daughter Receives Email Instructions from Her Dad Who Passed Away 10 Months Ago

Before you read this story, I urge you to get some tissues ready…

Three weeks ago, Aly Mendoza received a scheduled email from her dad, who passed away 10 months ago. She shares that she was afraid to open it at first, but eventually decided to open the e-mail two days later. “I couldn’t believe what I was reading,” she said in disbelief. “My dad’s love for my mom IS definitely immeasurable.”

In the e-mail, Aly narrates that there were instructions for her for her parents’ anniversary celebration this year. Apparently, before her dad passed away, he had planned everything out. He contacted and paid for a florist to deliver flowers to Aly’s mom for the coming years on every special occasion (her mom’s birthday, Valentine’s Day, and their anniversary). The e-mail also contained a letter that he wrote for her mom which had all the words she needed to hear from him to be okay. Despite not physically being there, he was still able to surprise and make his wife happy. “Not even death could stop my dad from loving my mom and showing her how much she meant to him,” Aly says.

Flowers from Dad

Aly shares that her dad even picked the flowers in the bouquet, all of which had special meanings to them as a couple. Following her dad’s instructions, Aly and her helper set up for her mom’s surprise before she woke up. “Even though I lacked sleep, the joy I saw in my mom’s face made everything worth it,” she exclaims. “Of course my mom cried because she misses the love of her life, but I could see how happy everything made her because she knew that everything was planned by my dad.”
