People all over the Philippines have opened online businesses during quarantine to help tide themselves over during this difficult time. 3 Tablespoons is no different. While Raphaela Lee has always been an avid baker, it wasn’t until quarantine that she was able to perfect her craft and try new things. In fact, she started 3 Tablespoons along with her two siblings as a way of coping with the pandemic.
This isn’t your usual cookie place, though. 3 Tablespoons’ flavors are unique and hella delicious! Raphaela shares that their choices of flavors really depend on the local products that they are able to find. “We made this decision to go all-local since we genuinely believe in what our country has to offer and we want to help our fellow Filipinos,” she says. She adds that their inspiration came from trying out different local chocolates. Check out their flavors:
All Nighter
All Nighter (Php100 for 2, Php190 for 4, Php360 for 8, Php500 for 12)
Love coffee? These All Nighter cookies are coffee-based with cacao nibs and dark chocolate. Since I love coffee more than life itself, it really isn’t surprising that I loved these cookies! They have a slight crunch to them, and you can really taste the coffee with each bite. Delicious!
Daredevil
Daredevil (Php100 for 2, Php190 for 4, Php360 for 8, Php500 for 12)
The star of their cookies (in my opinion) is the Daredevil cookie. This might not be for everyone, but I believe that everyone should try it at least once. As a lover of chili chocolate ice cream – my ultimate favorite ice cream flavor! – I couldn’t wait to try these Daredevil cookies. I got even more excited when Raphaela asked me how high my tolerance is for spicy food. This cookie is infused with chili with toffee and dark chocolate, and has just the right kick to it. A definite must-try!
Classic and Back2Back
Classic and Back2Back (Php90 for 2, Php170 for 4, Php310 for 8, Php450 for 12)
Of course, they also have cookies for those who prefer to keep things simple. The Classic cookies consist of original cookie batter with milk and dark chocolate, while the Back2Back cookies are cocoa-based with milk, dark, and white chocolate. You can get both in one package, too (equally divided).
Aside from being delicious with locally sourced ingredients, another thing worth noting about 3 Tablespoons is that part of their proceeds go to the PWD community. So, not only will you be able to enjoy their cookies; you’ll be able to help out a good cause, as well.
3 Tablespoons delivers all around the Metro and certain areas outside of it through apps like Lalamove and Angkas. They also have pickup locations in Bgy. Loyola Heights in Quezon City and in Bgy. Concepcion Dos in Marikina.
Make sure to follow them on Instagram as they plan on expanding their menu to other desserts (like sans rival!) very soon!
