Overall, the dances were energetic, athletic, strong, radical, theatrical and creatively put together. These were just some of the 24 dance crews that gave an impression on me.Â
Â
- Exquizyth – First to perform in the whole competition and they were able to set the bar high with their athleticism. (stunts, tumblings, layouts and bboy-ish moves) Ranked 7th.
- X3 – A group of Xavier High School Alumni and former Dance X members performed a comical number. Ranked  6th
- Team Vibe – A personal favorite of mine, ranked 10th. I hail this team for intricate choreography, commendable execution and technique.
- 2 Thumbs Up- L.A. style couplet dance. Ranked 13th.
Â
Â
- NDCQC – Ranked 2nd for a unique dance of hip hop fused with the flowy and detailed movements of Filipino folk dance.Â
- iPM – Although part of the bottom two of the whole batch, presented a robotic dance with isolations and managed to entertain the crowd.
- Kinection – Ranked 8th, a dance crew to watch out for. They’re powerful, clean and full of swag.Â
- PFS Lockers – 14th, the only group who took Locking and Popping to a whole new level. Old school vibes.
- Hybrids of Freedom – Ranked 3rd for their Legitimate Krump number. Highly controlled yet explosive steps were very noteworthy.
