That is the reason why many people lined up for hours under the scorching heat just to get a pair of Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Black a few days ago. The Yeezy’s hype wasn’t exclusive to the Philippines, though. In fact, people from all over the world endured long lines just to own a pair.

One heartwarming instance is this 44-year old dad in Taiwan who wanted to cop a pair of the sneakers as a reward for his son. Can you guess how long he waited? 3 days. Yes, you read that right. Reports say that the man was spotted waiting outside the store 3 days before the release date.

The father, who was only identified by his surname Li, was one of the first 20 to lineup in front of the shoe store. He claims that he had been sleeping outside the store for three nights and didn’t want to go home for fear of losing his spot in the line.
Li explained that he works as a delivery driver and that he doesn’t earn much. Spending on sneakers and lining up for hours (let alone days) is no easy feat for some. But in spite of it, he was willing to go through it because it was all for his son who badly wanted it. His son was doing well in school so he thought it’s a well-deserved reward for him. We can already hear people saying “awww!”
