I still remember the first time I saw a man in a crop top. It was Johnny Depp in his small role on ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ and honestly, as a child, I thought he looked pretty hot. :p
Johnny Depp wasn’t the only one wearing it, either. Will Smith wore crop tops in ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’, too.
Well, it looks like online store ASOS, as well as Amazon and Etsy, are trying to bring crop tops for men back into the fashion scene, but netizens aren’t too happy about it.
Some Filipino men on the heavier side have jokingly shared articles on the matter with the caption, “I’d look like Winnie the Pooh if I did this”. One Twitter user from the US said, “Men should dress like men. Crop tops are a hard NO!”
Honestly, we’re not totally against this. After all, Johnny Depp looked hella fine it it, so maybe it’s just a question of who would look good in the tops?
