Social media influencer Crisha Uy has broken her silence following the shocking reveal of her ex-boyfriend, Joem Bascon, getting back together with his former beau Meryll Soriano with whom he now has a child.
Crisha and Joem were together for eight long years before they broke off their engagement in 2019. She subsequently went viral for sharing their breakup story through an emotional vlog she posted in January 2020, in which she said that Joem “fell out of love” with her.

“Ayokong makasaÂkit ng tao, just because I’m emotional. So, better to keep quiet,” she had said. “Hindi ko na-regret na naging kami. Hindi ko na-regret yung 8 years namin kasi mahal ko naman siya. Mahirap sabihin, pero wala na kayong magagawa. He fell out of love. Ayoko namang pilitin yung taong hindi na ako mahal. I don’t want to blame myself kasi wala na tayong magagawa. Uncontrollable na yun.”
“Kung may minahal siya pagkatapos, it’s not my business anymore. Dun lang ako sa parte ng buhay niya na involved ako,” she continued. “May mga concerned sa akin, yung mga nagmi-message sa akin nagsi-send ng photos na may kasama siyang iba, it’s not my concern anymore.”
Now, a year after, Crisha opened up on her thoughts and feelings about her former relationship in a new vlog, now that it’s confirmed that Joem truly did rekindle his old romance with Meryll after their breakup.
She first thanked all the people who tagged her when the big news came out which she considered as people showing their concern for her. It was then that she said that she knew about it all this time especially when she and Joem share the same set of friends.
“Yes, alam ko na ‘yung totoo, alam ko ‘yung relationship nila, their bundle of blessing long way before pa nung na-upload ‘yan,” she shared.
She then talked about how she got mad while reading the article about Joem and Meryll’s announcement because of how she was reminded of the pain she felt before.
“Nagalit ako kasi bumalik ‘yung feelings ko na I was betrayed all over again,” she said. “Iba pala ‘yung feeling na nakita mo versus kinuwento or chinika lang sa’yo. Parang feeling ko kasi kailangan kong ilabas ‘yung naramdaman ko that day… ‘yung galit ko, ‘yung sakit na ‘yun, kung ano mang naramdaman ko that day. But hindi dahil mahal ko pa siya. Naka-move on na ako ‘eh.”
At the same time, she felt relieved that she finally got the answers to all her doubts.
“Finally, finally na-confirm ko na nagsinungaling talaga siya noon. That I was lied to,” she expressed. “I gave them the benefit of the doubt ‘eh before. Pero ‘yun na nga, sampal sa mukha nung nakita ko ‘yun. Sampal sa mukha na tama pala ‘yung hinala ko noon.”
However, she assured fans and followers that she has long moved on from that heartbreak and requested that they help her “close this chapter” in her life. “Naiyak ko na ‘yan noong 2019,” she said. “2021 na, let’s move on.”

It was during New Year when Joem and Meryll confirmed their rekindled romance a decade since their split with a photo of them together and their newborn child. The two had reunited on set for the film Culion and for their television show Starla back in 2019.
