Could Rubbing Wasabi on Your Head Help Cure Baldness?

Wasabi

If you’re noticing the first signs of baldness (or if you’re already bald), a Japanese company is claiming that rubbing wasabi on your head could cure it.

According to Kinin, which makes wasabi, chemicals found within the condiment can help regrow hair faster than traditional methods, like Rogaine.

However, they are talking about fresh wasabi, not the paste that is found in many groceries and Japanese restaurants.

Previous studies have suggested that isosaponarin, a chemical found in wasabi, can help regrow hair and produce human collagen. The chemical 6-MSITC has also been found to inhibit breast cancer cell growth.

Fresh wasabi is expensive and has a strong smell, so it might not be for everybody. Try if you dare!
