Last March 5, 2022, the UP Junior Marketing Association (UP JMA), in partnership with the Save Our Schools Network (SOS), took us to zero gravity at Cosmos: An OPM Festival.
Starting the evening with a bang, Cosmic Clash winner EZA opened a stellar lineup of 16 OPM stars. Out of this world performances followed from Oh, Flamingo!, Clara Benin, Lola Amour, Munimuni and The Itchyworms who capped off the concert with performances of fan-favorite songs including Ayokong Tumanda and After All This Time.
This year’s OPM stars came together in support of this year’s #MissionCosmos to advance the call for #MapagpalayangEdukasyon. Cosmos: An OPM Festival, an online benefit concert, campaigned for the right to safe, quality, and accessible education for the Filipino youth, including the safe return to face-to-face classes (#LigtasNaBalikEskwela) and especially the protection of indigenous schools (#SaveLumadSchools).
As earthlings far and wide came together to celebrate OPM for the cause, Cosmos was able to raise over P121,000 which will go to support the legal and logistical needs of the Save Our Schools Network’s Bakwit School for Lumad students.
Looks like this year’s #MissionCosmos is accomplished! ‘Til next year’s cosmic adventure!
