Consciousness Month 2025 is set to take place from February 7-28, bringing together members of various sectors to promote meaningful social action and positive change. Now in its 46th year, UP Economics Towards Consciousness (UP ETC) continues its tradition of fostering collaboration and critical discourse for societal progress.
This year’s theme, TINIG: Boses ng Pagkakaisa, Diwa ng Pag-asa, focuses on empowering Filipino voters while examining the socioeconomic implications of key election issues ahead of the 2025 Philippine midterm elections. Through interactive and engaging events, participants will be encouraged to critically explore the connections between voter behavior, campaign priorities, and public spending. TINIG envisions civic engagement as a union of critical minds, inspired by principles and driven by hope for meaningful change.
Highlighted Events for Consciousness Month 2025
- DG sa Daan (February 12 and 19): A series of discussion groups within the UP School of Economics aimed at raising awareness about key electoral and socioeconomic issues.
- Kapekonomiya sa Halalan: A Multiperspective Forum on Electoral Politics in the Philippines (February 28): The flagship event, to be held at Palma Hall, will feature a panel of experts and stakeholders examining pressing election topics.
