It’s Confirmed: James Reid and Nadine Lustre Live Together

The opinions in this article are all of the author’s alone and do not reflect the opinions of WhenInManila.com as a whole.

Okay, so maybe this isn’t exactly “news”, but I feel like it’s something worth talking about. You see, I’ve lived with ex-boyfriends before – one of which had to leave the country we were in for personal matters, and the other of which was the father of my child. I don’t know about you, but I firmly believe that it’s important to live with someone before marrying them. This way, you get to know all of their parts – the good and the bad – and whether or not you can actually live with those parts for the rest of your life.

I feel the need to point out that I did not grow up in a conservative country like the Philippines, though, so I also understand why there is some sort of backlash when it comes to this topic. Back in 2017, Nadine Lustre was asked whether she lives with James Reid, and she avoided answering the question, pointing out that it really wasn’t anyone’s business and that there should be nothing wrong with it if they do – and honestly, so what if she is? This brought about several negative comments about Nadine and the ‘kind of woman that she is’ – comments that were (and still are) completely unnecessary in my opinion.

During a recent interview on ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’, though, James let it slip that they do, in fact, live together. Vice Ganda asked him about his relationship with Nadine and how they keep things fresh since they are working together all the time. To this, James said, “Well, we live together, so…” He then paused and continued, “Oh, did you know that already? Okay, well, we live together.” The crowd cheered, (hopefully) signaling that people have become more open-minded about the topic. Do you have any thoughts on this? Would love to learn more about why this is such a sensitive topic in the Philippines.

James and Nadine have been in a relationship for three years now. While Nadine’s movie with Carlo Aquino, ‘Ulan’, is now showing in cinemas nationwide; James is set to be a judge on ‘Idol Philippines’ soon alongside Vice.
