Veteran actress Coney Reyes couldn’t help but be proud of her son Vico Sotto, the current mayor of Pasig City, for his proactive measures to aid his constituents amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Instagram, Coney shared the viral video of her son undergoing disinfection inside a building, after which he brought out his own spray bottle of alcohol and sprayed it on the employee disinfecting him.
“Someone sent me this short video clip of my son,” she wrote in the caption. “I thank God for his sense of humor (which I’m sure he got from his Papa [Vic Sotto]) amidst all that we are experiencing as a people… as a nation.”
Vico’s father, Vic Sotto, is a long-time comedy actor and host of noontime show Eat Bulaga!
Coney continued: “Thank you so much to all the men and women who tirelessly work alongside Vico! Bilib ako sa inyo! Maraming Salamat sa walang patid na tulong at suporta! (I’m in awe by you all! Thank you very much for your endless help and support!) God is your ultimate Rewarder!”
She also expressed gratitude to all the people who have continued to voice out their support for the mayor. “I would also personally like to thank all the people who continue to pray for Vico and his team! God bless us all and keep us in His loving care.”
At the end of her post, she shared some words of encouragement to all Filipinos: “God is our Refuge and Strength! Our ever-present help in times of need! Mga kapwa (My fellow) Filipino! Stay strong! Konti nalang ito, di ba Lord (Our struggle will soon end, right Lord)?!”
