Press Release First Comprehensive Insomnia Management Program in the PH

Now, the first Comprehensive Insomnia Management Program is being offered at St. Luke’s Medical Center where sleep psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, and sleep doctors can help patients with different sleeping disorders, not just insomnia.

“Among all the sleep disorders, insomnia is the most common. Yet none of the hospitals have a specific service targeting insomnia,” shares Dr. Jimmy V. Chang, Head of the St. Luke’s Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center Quezon City. “All of the sleep centers focus on Obstructive Sleep Apnea, which is only the second most common sleep disorder. Therefore, patients with insomnia do not know where to go.”

For people who have sleep apnea, the center got a portable Sleep Study machine to diagnose a patient. The machine monitors a patient’s breathing, oxygenation, and pulse rate during the patient’s sleeping hours.

The center diagnoses and treats sleep apnea, insomnia, periodic leg movements, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, snoring, and 80 more types of disorders at the state-of-the-art laboratory.

If you are experiencing any trouble sleeping, you may contact the St.

Luke’s Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center at 723-0101 ext. 727-5559 (Quezon City) or 789-7700 ext. 2009 (Global City).
