Happening on March 7 at the D.L. Umali Hall, University of the Philippines Los Baños, CSS 2026 carries the theme COMMFLUENCE: Communicating Influence.

The event is a one-day symposium that brings together high school and college students across the Philippines who are interested in or pursuing communication, to hear from and engage with recognized communication practitioners and influencers.

On its return, the summit will feature talks on Advocacy Communication, Digital Reportage, and Public Affairs, with exciting conversations on the Role of Youth in Communicating Social Change. It aims to highlight how communication influences and shapes realities, streaming through communities to inspire social change.

Introducing the organization’s home college program, the sessions will also center on DevCom and the Youth, with a talk by Ma. Celeste Habito-Cadiz. Recognized as one of the finest practitioners of Development Communication from UPLB, she is an independent consultant specializing in knowledge management and communication for development.

Her discussion aims to make the discipline of Development Communication more widely understood and appreciated, particularly among young people, by emphasizing its relevance and impact in today’s society.

During CSS 2019, participants had the opportunity to learn from prominent figures in the field of communication, including Mariz Umali of GMA News TV, Lauren Dyogi of ABS-CBN, and John Nery, former Editor-in-Chief of Philippine Daily Inquirer, among others.
