Commemorate Earth Day with NASA’s FREE downloadable wallpapers

To commemorate and celebrate Earth Day, NASA released free downloadable posters, desktop wallpapers,  and mobile wallpapers.

According to scitechdaily.com, “When Apollo 8 astronaut William Anders snapped the iconic Earthrise image, it captured the imagination of the people on Earth and helped to inspire the first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970.” For Anders, the most important thing we should discover is the earth.

One of the posters they have released shows the earth in different phases. (Yes, just like the moon).  Thus, if someone was to look at the earth from the moon, they would see different phases too. But unlike the moon where we just see one phase from the earth, the earth spins around its axis.

With this, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has made these artworks available for download on their website. These images feature our beloved planet to remind us of how important it is to take care of our home.
