It’s official: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart of Riverdale fame are no longer a couple.
Cole opened up about it in a rare statement he shared on Instagram. But instead of merely dropping the news, he penned a heartfelt letter to Lili and it was so sweet that it almost made me cry happy tears!
“Lili and I initially separated in January of this year, deciding to more permanently split in March,” he first revealed.
“What an incredible experience I had, I’ll always feel lucky and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love. I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness moving forward. All I’ll say about it, anything else you hear doesn’t matter.”
He also took the time to promote Lili’s new movie, Chemical Hearts, that’s scheduled to premiere this month of August!
“Also her movie comes out soon! I’m sure she’s just as incredible in it as everything else she does,” he gushed. “Thanks guys.”

We feel nothing but admiration for the amount of respect and love these two have for each other and hope that they remain good friends moving forward.
