Coldplay is finally coming back!
The band just announced their much-awaited return to the music scene with a trailer for their ninth studio album titled “Music of the Spheres.”
The trailer, which the band called “Overtura,” features snippets of all their tracks that will be included in the album before revealing that it’ll be launched on October 15 of this year. Coldplay also published a handwritten note announcing that a new single, “Coloratura,” will be released this Friday.
Their next single and possibly the last one before the album release will premiere in September.
“Thank you for listening, or coming to shows, or any way we have met through music,” the band’s note said. “Everyone is an alien somewhere.”
Coldplay also shared the full tracklist of the album which consists of 12 songs, five of which are titled as emojis.
It was back in May when Coldplay released its first single for the album, “Higher Power.” They then put on a surprise performance of the song on the local variety show ASAP Natin ‘To last July 11.
