A group of Multimedia Arts students from Asia Pacific College will hold an exhibition entitled “CLOUD 9” on September 2-5, 2017 at the 888 Vibers Restobar & Art Gallery, 1726 Leveriza St., Pasay City.
Cloud 9 is a state in a person’s mind where they have achieved their ultimate contentment. Cloud 9 is likely known as heaven or paradise due to the sensation enabling the person to feel as if they’re in a utopic realm. Happiness is subjective thus every individual has a different version of their own Cloud 9 and reaching it doesn’t require an eventful activity. It can be as ordinary as playing video games, dancing, or even shopping; yet it can also be reached through alcohol, sex, or drugs. Whatever it is, it is but one thing that we kept trying to do for it’s what keeps us fulfilled. In times of dire depression or we just feel as if we’re missing something in our lives, we just go and return to our paradise.
What better way to share our Cloud 9 than through a visual form using our skillful techniques in multimedia arts? Using various craftsmanship, this is an essential method to visually stimulate the audience with our psychedelic, neon-colored visuals. Significantly, this may also help them reflect upon their own Cloud 9 and inspire them to use it as a factor for creativity. Lastly, this may make them realize what real happiness resides within however mundane or dynamic it could be.
Intense is a group of ten diversely artistic and passionate individuals. The “10” inside the team name represents the number of members in the group, hence; In10s.This word was picked due to its association with the exhibit theme highlighting on euphoric sensation or extreme happiness.
Join us on the opening night on September 2, 2017, from 5:00 PM onwards, and set to run until September 5, 2017. ADMISSION IS FREE!
