Close to 2K Trees “Have to Go” for MRT 7

Despite the urban jungle, Commonwealth still boasts some form of greenery. Lining certain roads are endangered tree species including narra, ipil and molave. According to DENR NCR assistant director, Sofio Quintana, 1, 858 trees will “have to go” for the priority project. They will either be uprooted and replanted, pruned or cut. We hope it’s the first one. He also announced that for every tree cut, they will plant 50 seedlings for a total number of 60, 750 seedlings.
