It’s an early Christmas for the Miranda family, and what did Parokya ni Edgar vocalist Chito give his wife Neri Naig? A .22 long rife. Exactly what she wished for this year.

Miranda captioned his photo with why he decided to give Naig a rifle:
Got my wife her own rifle para sumama na sya sa akin tuwing magfa-firing ako, at para kapag may magnanakaw, she’d be able to protect herself better, at higit sa lahat, para kapag magka-totoo ang The Walking Dead, dalawa kaming lalaban instead na ako lang.
I do understand that the .22lr is not the best defensive ammo, but the fact is, it has been, and will always be used extensively for self-defense. And having a .22 is still a lot better than not having anything when you need it. Tsaka sobrang na-enjoy ni Neri yung .22 nung na-try nya dati, and that is important kasi kapag nage-enjoy sya, mas madalas sya sa range, at mas masasanay sya humawak ng baril at mas magi-improve yung skills nya as compared to her not spending as much time sa range kasi di naman sya nage-enjoy with a higher caliber.
Todo explain naman ako para ma-justify ko yung fact na bumili na naman ako ng baril.(Got my wife her own rifle so she can join me when I go firing, and so that she can protect herself better. Most importantly, if ever The Walking Dead becomes real, the both of us would fight instead of just me.

She’ll be at the range more, and she’ll get used to holding a gun, which will improve her skills more than not spending time at the range because she doesn’t enjoy using a higher caliber.
