One of the latest designs we have seen is Guela Ampong’s Philippine flag-inspired PPE. This PPE features the different colors of the Philippine flag, as well as an embroidered flag on the suit itself.

According to Ampong, the different colors seen on the PPE have different meanings as well. Blue represents peace, harmony, and unity. Red represents war against the unseen enemy, COVID-19. Yellow represents resiliency and hope. Lastly, white represents purity.

These PPEs are already approved for use by the health department. And unlike other PPEs, these are washable and can be used again after disinfection. Ampong adds to her post, “This is a crucial moment to stand as one nation and to awaken the Bayanihan Spirit of every one of us – Filipinos.”
