Celebrate Life Through This Free Virtual Concert

Forest Lake, the largest memorial care brand in the Philippines, is holding an online memorial festival titled Music and Memories: A Celebration of Life Through Music on November 1 to give its dear lot owners and Filipinos the opportunity to honor the lives of their late loved ones from home.

“We want to give Filipinos the opportunity to celebrate the lives of their late loved ones amid these trying times. Music and Memories is a chance to pray for, commemorate, and give tribute to the dearly departed even when we can’t physically visit their resting place,” says Forest Lake President Alfred Xerez-Burgos Jr.

Forest Lake Music and Memories

The program will start at 2PM with the solemnity of the Holy Mass followed by a memorial concert hosted by actress Giselle Sanchez where esteemed Filipino performers will give song offerings to the dearly departed.

Marco Sison’s My Love Will See You Through is an ode to those who feel a little lost, desolate, and hopeless this All Souls’ Day. The song is akin to a warm comforting embrace that assures the listeners that even when we can’t see our dearly departed, their love and memories will live on and serve as guides for us to get through life’s trials. In the same way, Cooky Chua’s rendition of the classic “Someone to Watch Over Me” is a heartwarming lullaby for those who feel alone especially during these times.

The concert will then take an emotional turn during R&B and reggae musician Bugoy Drilon’s line up which includes a moving performance of his song, Muli, which tearfully begs for forgiveness and a second chance at love and redemption from a loved one.

Ice Seguerra will also offer a serenade for those who have been through heartbreak. The song “Para Lang Sa’Yo,” sung solemnly with only a guitar as an accompaniment, is a serene acceptance and a brave promise to love again despite the pain and tribulations.

Filipino vocalist Kuh Ledesma’s rendition of the classic “Till I Met You” is reminiscent of the radiant feeling of being in the presence of someone we have loved deeply. It serves as a reminder to look back fondly and celebrate how our lives were changed when we met them.

For the finale, Wency Cornejo will deliver a moving performance of “Next In Line,” sung originally by Stagecrew, which speaks about continuing the legacies left by those who have gone before us. The song is also commonly used as an anthem during funeral processions at Forest Lake.

Each performer has lined up 3-4 songs, all of which have varying heartwarming and touching messages dedicated to those we have lost or are in mourning. To commemorate the lives of their loved ones who passed on, Forest Lake patrons will also share their testimonials throughout the program.

Existing Forest Lake lot owners will be eligible to participate in a raffle for a chance to win a Forest Lake Memorial Park Lot while regular event attendees may win cash prizes. The deadline for entries is October 30th.

Through these performances and testimonials, Forest Lake hopes to provide a holistic and meaningful despite the distance this All Soul’s Day.
