Catriona Gray parts with sentimental Miss Universe token to raise funds for mass testing

Catriona Gray is parting with a couple of personal items to contribute towards increasing the Philippines’ COVID-19 testing capacity.

The former Miss Universe announced via Facebook on Sunday which items would be up for auction. Included in the ‘Shop and Share’ fundraiser are her Karen Millen embellished heels as well as her Miss Universe 2018 official candidate pin.

“The MU pin in particular is super sentimental to me as it secured my sash as I competed in the Preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2018,” Catriona shared. “But I’ve decided to dedicate it to a cause.”

As of writing, the bids for Catriona’s items are at Php 150,000 for the heels and Php 600,000 for the pin.

The Shop and Share project is an initiative by Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis which aims to raise money for COVID-19 test kits. Celebrities, musicians, and athletes are asked to donate personal items from designer bags, clothes, jerseys, jewelry, and others to be auctioned off as a fundraiser.
