Caruso Ristorante Italiano is spiced up with a very home-y interior. A very intimate and peaceful interior matched with soothing Italian music.

Very creative paintings that resemble the restaurant can easily be seen. These are paintings that are part of Caruso Ristorante Italiano’s art competition called “Caruso Awards 2015” with the theme “Food and Art”. These paintings are publicly displayed in Caruso Ristorante Italiano and public voting is a big impact.

As expected from an authentic Italian restaurant, bread is served first. We had the Mozzarella Bufala Di Parmaham (Php 680), an assorted plate with bufala cheese and Prosciutto parma ham. It was very delightful and light which was a great way to prepare our palate for what was about to come.

Of course what is an authentic fine dining Italian restaurant without  Pizza and Pasta, right? We started off with the Caruso Pizza (Php 680) with its home made dough in tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese and prosciutto parma ham. A true home made and authentic pizza that had a very flavorful touch. Looks thin and light, but packs a heavy touch of flavor.

The pasta as I expected was something unique. Being an authentic Italian restaurant of this caliber, there should be something very special and unique with their pastas as expected. We actually had 3 kids, the Tagliolini Salmon (Php 680) which is my favorite here due to it being salmon and caviar. Yes, it has caviar! We also had the Garganelli Porcini (Php 620), home made garganelli tube pasta with porcini mushroom sauce. And finally our third pasta, the Spagetti Aglio Olio Vongole (Php 560), with garlic, olive oil, chilli and clams. My fave was the Tagliolini Salmon pasta because of the very rich texture and because of the caviar.

We did try some other dishes that truly delighted our palates, like this one; the Ossubuco Di Vitello Alla Milanese (Php 1620), veal shank in Milanese style with safron risotto. Yum!

Add to that is the Gamberoni Al Chardonnay (Php 1250) which is also my fave! King prawns with special wine sauce.

For dessert we topped the afternoon off with a Pannacotta (Php 320) first.

Then the Tiramisu (Php 320), classic tiramisu with mascarpone
