So apparently, the government is taking the whole carpooling thing seriously, in the wake of issues surrounding GrabCar and Uber.
Local reports say that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) are deliberating on options to reduce the heavy traffic along EDSA– one of the options which is to require carpooling!
According to local reports, the public works bureau is seriously considering mandating carpooling, meaning cars driving along EDSA with less than 4 passengers may be APPREHENDED if this pushes through.
EDSA is always traffic. Regardless.
Apparently, cars with only 1-3 passengers may take other routes in order to lessen the traffic along EDSA.
