CanRock is an annual musical recital hosted by the UP Special Education Council in order to highlight and showcase the different talents and abilities of individuals with special needs through performances such as singing, dancing, and playing different musical instruments. This event aims to spread awareness to the general public about the ideals of special education and PWD empowerment.
Now in its 10th year, CanRock 2018 is titled LSS: Loving Someone Special. This year’s CanRock comprises of exceptional performances of different schools and organizations namely the Grain Foundation, Antipolo SPED Center, New Era University, and Autism Society of the Philippines (ASP) – KAAKIBAT. We also have individual performers with special needs: Ms. Thara Santiago, Mr. Franco Cagayat, Ms. Nica Escasinas, and Ms. Vell Varia.
