Calling First-time and Long-time Spinners, This is the New Gym For You!

In the same way that our world’s technology is constantly evolving, so is the way people are trying to get fit. From methods like yoga and pilates to more rigorous training like muay Thai or boxing, both men and women nowadays have become open to experimenting with new techniques to shed a few extra pounds.

One of the latest gyms to capitalize on this fitness craze is The Upper Deck. Located among the hustling and bustling streets of Ortigas, The Upper Deck offers a large variety of equipment, facilities, as well as the chance for members (and guests) to try out different workout routines in order to find the one especially suited for them.

Amidst the overall amazing interior, seemingly unlimited resources and equipment, The Upper Deck is able to highlight one of their most special features—the Club Cycling Studio and Flow Studio! One of the more recent fitness trends, spinning or cycling has become popular because of the way it’s able to combine an intense workout with energetic music and movements.

On top of this, spinning comes with a lot of health benefits. From burning calories to get a good cardio workout, to even strengthening your core, no wonder spinning has become all the craze! Compared to other workouts, spinning is also considered less impact, meaning that (if done properly) it will cause fewer injuries and muscle strain (although do expect a bit of an afterburn the next day).

Another thing to love about spinning is that it can be done by pretty much anyone. No prerequisites necessary for this fitness routine! So if it’s your first time, then there’s nothing to worry about. As long as you keep an open mind, follow your instructor, and go with the music, you’re bound to have a great time working out!

The Club Cycling Studio and Flow Studio add The Upper Deck’s own unique twist to the spinning craze. Instead of having the spinning instructor upfront to teach the class, he/she is instead placed at the center of the room in order for all participants to be at full attention, and for the instructor to truly be one with the… difficulties of everyone else. This way, also, the energy in the room is really felt by all the spinners in the class. The stage itself also has its own unique spin—literally—with a rotating center stage so that the instructor can see everyone, and everyone can see him/her.

So, calling on fitness junkies, first-timers in need of losing some weight, and anyone in need of a healthy destresser, The Upper Deck’s Club Cycling Studio and Flow Studio is the place for you!
