Calibrate: Ideas in Collaboration

Calibrate

National Arts Month is here again, and the Applied Arts Society is opening its doors for visitors to Calibrate: Ideas in Collaboration!

The Applied Arts Society (AASOC) is a student-led organization of Miriam College under the Applied Arts program. The organization aims to produce well-rounded, dignified and dynamic women artists who are empowered to become leaders in service through providing quality, relevant, and advantageous art-related activities.

In celebration of both the organization members’ pursuance and developments in the arts and of National Arts Month, this year AASOC will be holding its third AA Fair with the title Calibrate: Ideas in Collaboration! The event aims to emphasize the possibilities of working together and the innovative ideas that can come out of it.

The opening event will be held on February 19, 2018 from 1PM to 5PM at the Miriam College Little Theatre, with guest speakers Fozzy Castro-Dayrit (@thefozzybook), Mica Abesamis (@marieabesamis), RaxenneManiquiz (@raxenne), Cassy Cajucom (@cassykicks), Mawee Borromeo (@maweeborrs), and Megan Dino (@megandino). Following this will be the Art Sale from February 20 to 22, with individual organization members and the AASOC sub-organizations Artype (@artype.mc), Grafika MC (@grafikamc), and Photoguild (@photoguild.aa) selling original merchandise. The organization’s members will also be performing live art throughout the duration of the Art Sale.

We hope to see and celebrate with you at #AAFair2018!
