A cafe that serves all sorts of comfort food, hearty meals, and desserts at affordable prices, Buffalo Swing Cafe was established two years ago and has since become a favorite of its loyal diners. The owner, Ms. Ingrid Mediarito, told me that it is the sister company of her brother’s chain, Red Buffalo, which also serves a variety of American food. With a passion for baking, she has added several mouth-watering desserts to the menu and continues to re-invent it with her own take of classic comfort food and meals.

 

 

Buffalo Swing Cafe is located in Pasig and has all of the advantages of being in a non-commercialised area, which makes it a great place for intimate gatherings.  This hidden gem is situated in the outskirts of the city and is the perfect place to hang out with your loved ones, without having to worry about crowded streets. Its picturesque interior also adds up to its laid-back ambiance and the decor isn’t too overwhelming, either. Decked in warm colors, the place is very easy on the eyes.

But let’s get down to what you really came here for, which is the food. If you’re one of those people who loves salivating over close-up shots of delectable food and always end up craving it afterwards, then you have come to right place. Let the sweet torture begin.

It wouldn’t be right not to show chicken wings first, now, would it? Famous for their flavorful chicken wings, Buffalo Swing Cafe offers spicy and non- spicy varieties to better accommodate all their customers. At only Php143, you will be able to try one of the flavors of chicken wings that they offer. 

 

Their own take at spicy Buffalo wings, level: Wild

 

They have three levels of hotness: hot, wild and blazing. Two people, including myself, were reduced to tears with just one bite of the wild buffalo wings. And since I’m a downright sissy when it comes to any sort of spices, I decided not to brave another bite. If you feel like your tongue is about to fall off because you took a bite of one of these spicy wings, try drinking some milk to ease the burning sensation.

 

Butter Parmesan chicken wings

 

Cooked to a crunchy perfection in rich-tasting butter and sprinkled with parmesan, this flavor of chicken wings was like a hug to our tastebuds. Paired with any of their dips offered at only Php20, you might just find yourself in heaven. The Butter Parmesan is definitely something to try here.

 

Oriental Sesame chicken wings

 

In this fusion between the East and West, Oriental Sesame defines the place where the two sides meet. The tasty combination of sweetness and saltiness was absolutely addictive. 

 

The all new Flamin’ Lemon offers a great combination of the tanginess of lemon and the slight kick of the spices

 

Along with the different flavored buffalo wings, Buffalo Swing Cafe also offers pizza and pasta. With personal experiences of disappointment over others’ failed attempts at recreating the public’s most wanted food, I was curious as to how they chose to recreate these all-time favorites. And let me tell you: they did not disappoint at all.

 

The new All Cheese Pizza

 

When I first tried a slice of thin-crust pizza from another restaurant, my tongue got completely turned off by the overwhelming flavors that violated it. Since then, I opted for the thicker variety. However, Buffalo Swing Cafe’s All Cheese and Meat Overload pizza restored my faith in the thin-crusted kind. The All Cheese pizza was not boring at all! You would really be able to taste all the different toppings in one bite without finding it too overpowering or underwhelming.
