It’s a good week for BTS. At the American Music Awards ceremony, the K-pop band won all three of their nominations.
BTS walked away with Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock, Tour of the Year, and Favorite Social Artist.
This is the second year in a row that the boy band was recognized at the AMAs, after winning Favorite Social Artist last year.
It’s quite the achievement, when you consider that BTS beat the Jonas Brothers and Panic! at the Disco for the Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock. In terms of Tour of the Year, the boy band beat Ariana Grande, Elton John, Pink, and Ed Sheeran. Lastly, BTS won Favorite Social Artist over Billie Eilish, EXO, Grande, and Shawn Mendes.
The band was not present to accept their awards, but they sent over a video message to thank their supporters. According to member Jungkook, “We are so honored to receive such an important, meaningful award.”
RM added, “We couldn’t have really done it without (your) love and support. We will try our best to live up to it and will try hard and work hard.
”
