At this point, it doesn’t surprise us anymore how KPop band BTS keeps outdoing themselves every time—whether it’s breaking records on YouTube or becoming the first to debut a new song on TikTok.
The boyband released a 30-second sound clip of their new single, “ON,” on the short-form video app ahead of their full-length album release on February 21, 2020. Within an hour of its release, over 20,000 fans on TikTok have made videos using the sound clip. As of writing, over 33,600 videos have been made of people taking on the #ONchallenge.
BTS officially made its TikTok account on September 2019 and broke records for raking in millions of followers in just a few hours. Currently, they have 7.6 Million followers.
According to TikTok, BTS is the first musical artist to ever make use of the platform to premiere a song in this form and it’s no wonder that the app crashed during the moment of its release.
