Britney Spears has revealed to friends and fans on social media that she had just lost her “miracle baby” to a miscarriage.
The pop star announced her pregnancy with fiancé Sam Asghari just last April, expressing joy and excitement over this new chapter in her life. However, the baby unfortunately didn’t survive.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy,” Britney announced in a joint statement with Sam. “This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along however we were overly excited to share the good news.”
“Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment,” the post ended.

Last month, Britney had said that she will be lying low to avoid the paparazzi during her pregnancy. She also admitted to having perinatal depression when she had her two sons, Sean and Jayden, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Sam, meanwhile, made his own post last month, saying that “fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don’t take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do.”
Britney called her third child a “miracle baby” after she had been blessed with the pregnancy months after the dissolution of her conservatorship, overseen by her father for the longest time, which had prevented her from removing a contraceptive IUD.
