Were you at Brian McKnight’s recent concert in Manila held at the Solaire Theatre? If you were, then you were probably there when he talked about his surprise in finding true love. He talked about how songs finally have true meaning and points out that there is hope for everyone in this world.
Then he segued into mentioning that his wife is actually Filipina. That’s right. In case you didn’t know, Brian McKnight has been happily married to Leilani Mendoza, a Filipino doctor, for almost a year now after having dated for four years. Brian gushed some more about Leilani and admitted that all of his songs are about her now and that they share a very real love.

Since he is married to a Filipina, Brian was proud to share that he now knows a lot about Filipino food, including pancit, adobo, and longganisa.
After his concert in Cebu, Brian posted an Instagram post for their fifth anniversary, saying, “Baby, five years ago today, we began this journey not knowing where love would lead us; but hindsight being 20/20, I’m so glad you let me into your life so you could show me what I should have been waiting for all my life. There was no life before you and I’m more in love with you everyday. So happy 5th anniversary of our love and I promise you we’ve only just begun.”
