BR 13, Flight 2013: Ateneo Seniors Signed Off
Finally, the seniors had taken their flight.
Blue Roast2013 (Flight 013) has successfully taken off last March 20, 2013, at the Bellarmine Field in the Ateneo de Manila campus. The flight departed at 7:00 in the evening as seniors, faculty, staff and other guests were treated to a night full of enjoyment, reminiscing and bonding.
All passengers were regaled with a full in-flight entertainment with performances by the 50 COA presidents, the Company of Ateneo Dancers, bands like She’s Only Sixteen and Spongecola, and many other performances throughout the night. Games, raffle prizes and awards for individuals, pairs and groups both for seniors and professors have also entertained all the guests. Serving as hosts for the flight were Stephanie Sy, Patch Buenaventura, Paolo Salapantan, and Anton Mendoza VII. The foursome also hosted Batch 2013’s Freshman Orientation Seminar last 2009. Passengers were served with roasted calf and beer, making this in-flight dining service a memorable one. To top it all off, the passengers were treated to a fireworks show and to remember this once in a lifetime event, all were given shotglasses as a souveneir of this flight.
Batch 2013 took off, with this flight serving as a chance for them to look back at the 4 years and once again remember all the challenges, lessons and memories that Ateneo had imparted. As the seniors partake on this new journey, Batch 2013 is now ready and bound to fly high.
This was a flight that is never to be forgotten and Batch 2013 was truly grateful for the event partners: SMART Communications, Wacoal, ETC/Jack TV, Newtrends Eyewear, San Miguel, Ateneo Alumni Association, Slimmers World, The Face Shop, Tribute Shoes, Top 1 Oil, Keds Shoes, Shirt Exchange, Oishi, Freeform Printing, and everyone else who were able to join and send them off in this once in a life time event.
