Longtime DJ Tin “Suzy” Gamboa has officially resigned after 17 years with the station. Alongside her exit, the evening show Boys Night Out (BNO) is airing its final episodes this week.

Suzy announced her decision on social media, describing it as a heartbreaking yet necessary move. What softens the blow, she said, is leaving together with her co-hosts.
“I was a Magic DJ for 17 years, so while this decision broke my heart into a billion pieces, it was the right thing to do. I’m still processing, but the fact that all 3 of us are leaving together brings me so much peace. These guys are my brothers. And we did say that this will be BNO’s last week… ON RADIO.”
BNO has been one of Magic 89.9’s flagship programs, known for its mix of banter, humor, and late-night energy. Its hosts built a strong community of listeners who tuned in daily, making it one of the most recognizable radio shows in the country.

Former BNO host Sam YG shared how deeply the show shaped their lives and friendships:
“Everybody gave. It wasn’t just a show for us. The show cast such a big shadow on our personal lives that it became who we were. Sam was Slick, was Tony, was Tin—you know, like, we are Boys Night Out. And I think it’ll be like that for the rest of our lives. That’s why it wasn’t just a show for us. It was our life. And that’s why it meant so much to us. I think people heard that. People felt that when you listened to Boys on the radio, you knew it wasn’t orchestrated. There have been many shows that have tried to do the same thing. But there’s real brotherhood there, and that you cannot fake.”
Originally, the final broadcast of Boys Night Out was set for October 2, 2025, with “old friends” and past guests expected to join them on air.
However, Suzy later revealed that the team was placed on preventative suspension, meaning their last official show had already aired the night before.

In an emotional Instagram post, she wrote:
“So they just took away what was supposed to be our #LastNightOut by putting us on preventative suspension for the things I said Monday evening. Essentially, @boysnightoutph’s last show on Magic 89.9 was last night. To Slick and Tones, I’m sorry for all the bombs I dropped that led to this. You both deserved a chance to say thank you to all the listeners for the last 19 years they spent with you… To our listeners, I’m sorry we won’t get the chance to say a proper goodbye. But from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives… #BNOForever.”
Still, Suzy assured fans this isn’t the end, hinting at future projects outside of radio.
“Onwards and upwards. Not a goodbye, just a ‘see you somewhere else soon.’”
For longtime listeners, this week marks the end of a chapter in Philippine radio history.
