Top Rank head honcho Bob Arum has expressed his belief that People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao wants to fight again, according to reports.
Arum even had the Mandalay Bay Events Center reserved for an October pay-per-view fight for the boxing senator on June 21, the same day that Pacquiao was inaugurated.
Just last week, reports have surfaced that Pacquiao might face Adrien Broner later this year.
On Pacquiao’s possible return to boxing, Arum had this to say:
“The question is, can he return and yet fulfill his duties as a senator in the Philippines? I don’t think even he knows that answer yet, because he’s just taken office. But I know for a fact, based on our conversations, that if he can, he is prepared to come back, and Broner is one guy we’re considering.”
Pacquiao announced his retirement last April after a win over Timothy Bradley, with a 58-6-2 record and 38 knockouts.
