BLACKPINK Is Making a Huge Comeback With a New Album and World Tour

After about a year and 10 months,  BLACKPINK is finally set to make its much-anticipated comeback!

YG Entertainment announced on July 6 that the K-Pop girl group is currently in the final stages of recording their new album. Then, they will begin shooting their music videos this month and make their return to the music scene in August!

Moreover, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will mount a worldwide tour! “In order to expand BLACKPINK’s emotional connection with fans all over the world, they will set out for the largest-scale world tour in K-pop girl group history until the end of the year along with their comeback,” their agency YG Entertainment reportedly said.

That being said, is BLACKPINK coming to the Philippines? The superstars have been in Manila in 2019, but Filipino netizens are hoping to see them again this year after Philippine Concerts posted the group’s comeback announcement on their Facebook page. Nevertheless, the list of countries is yet to be confirmed.

Their last release was in October 2020 with their first studio-length album called “THE ALBUM”. It includes their multi-award-winning track “How You Like That” and their special collaboration song “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez.

In 2021, members Rosé and Lisa released individual albums titled “R” and “LALISA” respectively.

Meanwhile, their 2018 track “DDU-DU DDU-DU” from the album “Blackpink in Your Area” now has 1.9 billion views on Youtube.
