“Gaya Sa Pelikula” follows the story of a 19-year-old architecture student named Karl (Paolo Pangilinan) who moves into a new condo unit in order to live independently. There, he meets his neighbor Vlad (Ian Pangilinan), who’s in hiding from his family. After a series of strange events, Karl gets stuck with Vlad as his housemate in exchange for cash in order to help him make ends meet, and thus their romance blossoms.

It is directed by JP Habac, the same director who helmed “I’m Drunk, I Love You,” and is written by Juan Miguel Severo. The show first started streaming on YouTube in September 2020 and has since gathered a huge fanbase.

“I’m beyond grateful and excited that Netflix has given us the opportunity to share our own little love letter to everyone who wants to love and be loved with no inhibitions,” said Habac.

“Gaya Sa Pelikula” will begin streaming on Netflix on January 7, 2021. It will be available in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
