Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates Now Have Permanent Validity

When applying for a new job, passport, school, and others, we are always required to submit a copy of our Birth certificate. Some legal documents like Marriage and Death Certificates are always asked too. But why do we always have to renew these certificates?

In the new Republic Act 11909 or “Permanent Validity of the Certificates of Live Birth, Death, and Marriage Act”, these essential documents can be used without any expiry.

The principal and co-sponsor of this new law is Former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and shared the good news on his social media pages. Malaking tipid sa oras, pera, at pagod”, says the caption.
