Binibining Pilipinas Disqualifies Candidate Over Sexy Photo For Breast Cancer Awareness

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is barely half a year into her reign and Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI), the organization responsible for selecting the candidates who will officially compete in international pageants, has already disqualified two candidates.

The latest to be disqualified is Janelle Olafson, a Fil-Am who was removed from the competition for a sexy photo taken for a breast cancer awareness campaign in New York. In the photo, she is seen topless with her arm covering her chest.

Olafson revealed the news on her vlog called 2 Girls and a What?. According to her, “I am officially disqualified. Even though I knew it was coming, it still hurts because, of course, this is something I’ve been working so hard towards.”

She says it was because of a breast cancer awareness campaign she shot with John Clement, a New York photographer.

However, she reveals that she has no regrets doing the shoot, saying “I don’t regret doing it. We have people who have had breast cancer. My aunt is a survivor. My second cousin is a survivor. And now recently I also found out that somebody else in my family has it. I’m never going to regret that.”

Olafson also said that she might join Miss Earth or Miss World.

The first disqualified candidate was Kim Ross delos Santos, who also posed for a sexy photo for an ad campaign.
