Big Bang Theory Star Wears Oliver Tolentino Gown to Awards Show

Filipino designer Oliver Tolentino’s clientele is growing, and one of his newest fans is The Big Bang Theory Star Mayim Bialik, who wore one of the designer’s creations on the red carpet of the Critics Choice Awards.

The gown is a conservative green number that covers her arms, a reflection of her Jewish faith.

This is not the first time Bialik has worn Tolentino, but the green gown is special because she won Best TV comedy supporting actress for her work on the series while wearing it.

Bialik’s role in The Big Bang Theory is Amy Farrah Fowler, which an online dating site described as the perfect mate of Sheldon Cooper, the show’s lead. She has a PhD in neurobiology. Bialik is also a neuroscientist in real life.

Oliver Tolentino got his start designing gowns in the Philippines, until he opened his own atelier in the famed Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood. Since then, he has designed dresses for Hollywood celebrities like Carrie Underwood, Britanny Snow, Jessica Alba and Eva Langoria, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, Olivia Munn, and Anna Paquin. He is known for his designs that capture old Hollywood glamour and for using fabrics from the Philippines.
