Beyond Edifice: Reliving Resplendence of Philippine Architecture through Inspiring Interior Designs


As part of the approved syllabus of the BS Interior Design program of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, College of Architecture and Fine Arts for the subject Interior Design 8: Special Project, the graduating students shall design and build their concepts in actual. This culminating activity aims to give students first-hand experience of the actual design and construction processes that would be very significant in their practice of the interior design profession in the future.

This year’s exhibit is entitled: Beyond Edifice: Reliving Resplendence of Philippine Architecture through Inspiring Interior Designs, an Interior Design Exhibit of the PUP-CAFA BS Interior Design Graduating Class 2015 is a design project centered on paying homage to the grandeur of prominent Philippine Architecture, embracing history, style and details enlaced with each story, Beyond Edifice gives life to experience again in the imagination ten (10) distinct residential spaces with inspiring interior designs seething refuge of deference executed in contemporary and sustainable living possibilities.

These 10 novel interior designs, that which pay homage to the rich Filipino heritage and culture, and are dedicated to raise awareness and appreciation of our own Philippine Architecture, will be displayed and open for everyone to see and experience at the Ayala Fairview Terraces, 2nd  Level, from March 16, 2015 to April 15, 2015. Professionals, interior design students and enthusiasts are especially invited to come see PUP CAFA BSID’s upcoming young additions to the design industry, along with their works in this year’s the most inspiring and innovative interior design student exhibit — BEYOND EDIFCE.
