Shiella shares her story to serve as a warning for other people, especially students in Mendiola, Manila who are not extra careful. She recalls the night of November 22 to have been the worst night of her life as she really thought she was going to die. The motive of the attack of the suspects who were a riding in tandem were not clear. Shiella fell to the ground and started running for her life. Shiella does not know if it was a holdup, kidnapping or rape but she was glad that she got away and found a security guard to help her.

I really don’t know kung anong motibo nila sa pagbaba at paghabol sakin. I don’t know if it was just a mere “holdup” o talagang kidnapping yun or rape. I fell and made a loud crash on the ground sa sobrang takot ko. Buti na lang nakatayo ako at ito lang inabot ko.
Hinabol pa din nya ko after that and nagmumura na siya. I was really helpless that time at ang malas ko lang na walang tao ni isa from 1st to 5th st. The streets were dark and I can’t even remember their faces because I forgot to wear my specs. I’m thankful na may lumabas na guard sa 2nd street kaya napaharurot ang motor nila. Alam ko the moment na nadapa ako pwedeng pwede na ko mamatay and I have no idea kung anong dala or hawak nila. Riding in tandem should be criminalized.
I hope this incident will serve as a lesson to all the girls out there. At sa mga lumalabas ng madaling araw sa dorm para lang kumain kay Mang Kevs, be sure na may kasama kayo. Ang yabang yabang ko pa dati na kaya ko sarili ko until nasampolan ako. Wala ng safe na lugar kahit katabi mo ang malacanang. Hayy. I have just witnessed the greatness of the lord.
