Beiruti Bite: A Big Bite from Beirut!

Beiruti BitesPatata Hara – Php 125

Fried potato cubes with cilantro, garlic, and a silly amount of chili.

Beiruti BitesSambusek – Php 135

Lebanese spring rolls filled with either cheese or meat.

Beiruti BitesBB’s Kebbeh – Php 130

These are cracked wheat and beef patty stuffed with cheese and vegetables. Tasted like great lean hamburger patties. Probably my favorite dish of the night.

Beiruti BitesLahme B Aajine (meat pie) – Php 75

A traditional meat pie cooked on the saj stove and is usually served with yogurt.

Beiruti BitesArabic Coffee – Php 50

Cafe Najjar, one of the finest coffees in the Middle East and is something coffee lovers will love. The taste is so robust and so rich and with a hint of cardamom which gives it a distinct taste.

Beiruti BitesFalafel – Php 140

The Falafel was once one of those foods I didn’t understand yet heard a lot about in shows (like in Friends). During the past few years, though, I got to try some of the best falafel in town, and I must say, Beiruti Bite has got one of the best.

Beiruti BitesKafta – Php 190 and Grilled Beef – Php 195

Beiruti Bite’s grilled meat plates that is served with either rice or pita bread with fries. This is a dish that most of us are really familiar with.

Beiruti Bites

Beiruti BitesChicken Shawarma (top) – Php 190 and Beef Shawarma (bottom) – Php 180

The signature dishes and the most familiar to the common Filipino, the shawarmas! But these are no ordinary shawarmas as they are made the traditional way and without those cheesy sauces! The beef is rich and has a smoky flavor and the the chicken is tasty and moist.

Beiruti BitesBeiruti Bite Champagne – Php 120

Do take note that this is a non alcoholic drink! An apple juice drink infused with mint, fresh lemons, apple and orange chunks. A very fresh tasting and refreshing drink that contrasts the very rich dishes that were served.

Beiruti BitesMinted Lemonade – Php 120

Heed my warning since this is a highly addictive concoction of fresh lemonade with fresh mint leaves and orange blossom water. Something strangely familiar yet different at the same time. This is so good that my friend actually ordered a take out of 1.5 liters of it!

Beiruti Bite is a delicious experience for the senses. I’ve been to a lot of Middle Eastern restaurant and none of them really tasted as good as this. It’s not a surprise what with Beiruti Bite having a Lebanese chef on helm, ingredients and spices that are imported from the Middle East, and a passionate owner who does not compromise on authenticity of flavor. It is like dining in Beirut.
