After quarantine measures were relaxed in Metro Manila, actress Beauty Gonzalez wanted to make use of her time to try something new. And so she decided to undergo police training with the Philippine National Police.

During her guesting at Magandang Buhay, she revealed what made her come to her surprising decision.
“After ECQ, GCQ, I tried something new. I tried something na hindi mo ma-imagine (that you could never imagine). So I’m doing police training now for the [Special Operations Unit] of the [PNP] Aviation Security Group,” she said. “So they are training me for the anti-hijacking terrorism.”
The Pinoy Big Brother alumna only had good things to share about the experience, especially knowing that she’s doing her part to help serve her countrymen.
“So ‘yan ang isa sa mga bagay na ginawa ko ngayon. And I’m happy to be part of it kasi it’s something new at para siyang eye-opener sa atin kasi nakikita ko ‘yung different point of view ng mga tao,” she added. “Talagang nakaka-inspire kasi this is a career na magbibigay sa iyo ng dignity, camaraderie and you are serving the Philippines. Iba ‘yung feeling to serve the Filipinos.”

She also hopes that she may be able to use what she learned in her acting career someday. “Magagamit din natin ito sa craft natin kasi na-experience ko ito. Sabi ko tama na ang drama… Hindi man ako nakapasok pa sa ‘Ang Probinsyano’ dito na muna ako,” she joked.
[“I will be able to use my experience in our craft. I told myself I should take a break from drama… I haven’t gotten in ‘Ang Probinsyano‘ yet, so I’ll settle on this first.”]
