Aside from being a prominent business district, The Fort is also famous for its nightlife. The city is crawling with bars and clubs, making it a go-to location for those who want to have fun after work (especially during weekends!).

Once in a while, it’s nice to party and let loose, but it is inevitable for times to come when we have TOO much fun. Thankfully, there are nearby restaurants where you can replenish yourself and sober up before heading home. And what better way to do that than with good breakfast food, right? Welcome to B.A.D. Late Night Breakfast Bar.

B.A.D. (which stands for Breakfast All Day) Late Night Breakfast Bar is a retro-esque diner located just above The Palace. They have neon lights, vintage posters, and the likes to fit that millennial-meets-old-school vibe. As the name suggests, they take pride in serving quality breakfast food. The unique part about it? They only open at night until early morning!

With that concept, B.A.D. Late Night Breakfast Bar is perfect for night owls like me. They are open daily from 6pm to 3am on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) and until 6am on weekends (Friday to Sunday) to cater to your late night craving fixes. They even have WiFi and a lot of sockets around if you’re looking for an almost 24-hour restaurant to work in (because let’s face it: 24-hour cafes with WiFi and sockets aren’t that common!).

The food served at B.A.D. Late Night Breakfast Bar are Filipino favorites. From Arroz Caldo to Silogs, they have it. They are heavy on food selections to satisfy everyone’s palate – young and old alike. We tried some of them and it was truly a breakfast haven. Here are some of the items:

B.A.D. Arroz Caldo – Php250

The serving of this Arroz Caldo can be good enough for 2-3 people. It’s a thick soup with a generous amount of toppings that make it so filling, you’ll really need to share this with somebody!
The B.A.D. Arroz Caldo also happens to be one of the restaurant’s specialty. One of its highlights is that, aside from putting in hard boiled eggs, they also use salted egg for extra flavor. The saltiness of it all combined with the acidity of the calamansi make it truly a breakfast worth having.

Chillaxilog –  Php250
This is my personal favorite. I love silogs and I also love Chicharon Bulaklak; so when I heard that they serve both in one meal, I was sold.
Their Chicharon Bulaklak is crunchy inside and out. I appreciate that because some are only crunchy on the crust, but get chewy inside. This variant goes well with their delicious garlic rice and perfectly cooked sunny-side up. This might be sinful to eat, but you’ve really got to try it.

B.A.D. Pork Belly – Php370
The B.A.D. Pork Belly is worth its price and is one energizer that will flush down all of the alcohol for sure!. For Php370, you’ll get 5 slices of pork belly drenched in sweet sauce and we had ours served with spinach. It was heavenly. You can tell that the pork belly is cooked to perfection as you slice it with your knife.

Bacon and Cheddar Waffle – Php280
This is pretty much the embodiment of breakfast on a plate. It’s a mix of sweet and savory, so you’ll really get the whole package. In one meal, you already have waffles, eggs, and, everyone’s favorite: bacon! Their thick-cut bacon is fit for the Filipino palate with its hint of sweetness. Plus, add to it the order’s bourbon pancake syrup.

BBQ Chicken Salad – Php340
On a diet? B.A.D. Late Night Breakfast Bar’s BBQ Chicken Salad is healthy(-ish)! Next to the Chillaxilog, this one is definitely my favorite.
I am a fan of BBQ and their BBQ sauce on the chicken is delicious. Mixed with other ingredients, it makes one hell of a salad. Now, it has tomato, corn, etc. (That counts as healthy, right?)

B.A.D. is the perfect place to sober up, but for those who want to do their pre- or post-drinking, they also have a bar. Cocktails, wines – you name it! What’s really notable about B.A.D. Late Night Breakfast Bar is their 80 peso beers (local). I am 100% sure that is already cheap for its price given that the location is in BGC.
What are you waiting for? With food servings and Instagrammable interiors like that, B.A.D. Late Night Breakfast Bar is hands-down already one of the cheapest in terms of ambiance; so party hard, order up, and cure your hangover here. It’s the best way to cap off the night.
